Our story

Tropidolls is a small, home-based Ragdoll cattery located in Orlando, Florida. Every kitten born here is raised underfoot — handled daily, socialized with people from birth, and given the kind of early life that shapes a confident, loving companion. We are TICA registered breeders. Our cats are health tested, carefully paired, and selected for both temperament and conformation. We don't cut corners on the standard because we believe the families who bring our kittens home deserve exactly what they paid for.We offer multiple tiers because we believe a Ragdoll should be accessible to anyone who loves the breed. Not everyone needs show papers or breeding rights — some people just want that classic Ragdoll temperament, the kind that follows you room to room and goes limp in your arms. Our non-registered pet tier exists for exactly that family. You shouldn't have to pay an arm and a leg for a cat that will love you just as completely. Our tiering system ranges from non-registered pet kittens to show and breeding quality cats, giving every type of Ragdoll family a path to the right kitten. Regardless of tier, every kitten receives the same vet care, vaccinations, microchip, and level of love and attention from birth. Our pricing reflects that commitment — we maintain a minimum price point across all tiers to ensure that the standard of care never drops, no matter which kitten you choose. Our breeding program is built around four core values — quality, temperament, transparency, and care. Every kitten that leaves our home has been vet checked, vaccinated, microchipped, and loved before they ever meet you.We are a small program by design. We don't produce large volumes of kittens because we believe every litter deserves our full attention. Our waitlist exists so that every family gets the attention they deserve when finding their match. If you have questions at any point before, during, or after your adoption, we are always reachable by text or email and respond within 24 hours. We believe the right kitten changes everything. We take that seriously.

Ragdoll Care Guide

About the Ragdoll Breed
Ragdolls are one of the largest domestic cat breeds, known for their docile temperament, affectionate nature, and tendency to go limp when held — which is where the name comes from. They are people-oriented cats that thrive on companionship. If nobody is home for most of the day, consider adopting a bonded pair so your kitten always has company.
Feeding
Ragdolls do best on a high protein diet. We recommend a combination of high quality wet food and dry food. Wet food is especially important for hydration and urinary health — male cats have a naturally narrower urethra than females, which makes them more prone to blockages and urinary tract issues when they are not drinking enough water. Fresh water should always be available. Avoid food with corn, wheat, or soy as the primary ingredients.
Grooming
Ragdolls have a single layer coat that does not mat as easily as other long haired breeds. Brushing and bathing are not required on a strict schedule — monitor your cat's coat and groom as needed when it starts to look less than its best. A good brush or bath when they need it is far better than forcing a routine they don't need.
Dental Care
Dental disease is one of the most commonly cited health issues in cats. Brushing two to three times per week with cat safe toothpaste is the gold standard recommendation. Dental treats and water additives can also help maintain oral health between cleanings. Annual dental checkups with your vet are a good idea regardless of your at home routine.
Litter Box
This is one of the most important things to understand about Ragdolls — they will not use a dirty litter box. This is not a litter training issue, it is a cleanliness standard. Ragdolls are fastidious by nature and will find somewhere else to go if their box is not clean enough for their standards. Scoop at minimum every other day — daily is better. If your kitten is eliminating outside the box, clean the litter box more frequently before assuming anything else is wrong. The general rule is one litter box per cat plus one extra. Use unscented clumping litter as heavily scented litters can deter use.
Enrichment
Ragdolls are not as high energy as some breeds but their biggest need is not toys or cat trees — it is people. These cats are built for companionship and being near their humans is their primary source of comfort and stimulation. Cat trees, window perches, and interactive toys are great additions, but nothing replaces time with you. Make yourself available to your Ragdoll and they will thrive. Leave them alone too much and they will feel it.
Veterinary Care
Your kitten will come home right after their first wellness exam, already vaccinated with their first FVRCP and rabies vaccine. Their next vet visit will be for their following round of vaccines — your vet will advise the appropriate timing based on what they received at pickup. After that, annual wellness exams are all that is needed unless something comes up. Stay current on flea and parasite prevention even for indoor cats.
Health Considerations
Ragdolls are generally healthy but are predisposed to hypertrophic cardiomyopathy (HCM), a heart condition that can develop silently. Ask your vet about HCM screening at your annual visits. They can also be prone to bladder stones and urinary issues, which is why diet and hydration are important. Early detection through regular vet visits makes a significant difference.
Bringing Your Kitten Home
Give your new kitten a quiet space to decompress for the first few days. Do not force interaction — let them come to you. Have food, water, litter, and a cozy hiding spot ready before they arrive. Kittens adjust at their own pace and most Ragdolls settle in quickly once they feel safe.
